    £1500 new PC fund help

Like the title suggests, I have saved up me bonus ready for a PC build, now I have the money, I realise I'm out of touch with PC tech!

I was looking at the i7 3550k but is that any good for gaming and YouTube video creation?

I'm tempted by the 690 also, but maybe wait for the 700 series?!

Any ideas or help would be ace!

    That's all!

Best thing you can do is Google it for examples.

This topic is a little old now but I figured I would weigh in here!
I would not go with an Intel Based system for just gaming purposes, If you are looking to do some video recording / editing then by all means go for Intel! but AMD is much better for Gaming due to the large price differences! Intel is only a slight bit better than AMD with Gaming but with a larger price margin.

My PC was Intel based and I sorely regret it, If I had swung for an AMD system I would have had extra cash for additional parts for future upgrades!
